PolyU

Enrollment in this course is by invitation only

BLENDED & ONLINE LEARNING & TEACHING: A FLIPPED CLASSROOM APPROACH

This Small Private Online Course (SPOC) from the BOLT team is designed to increase your knowledge and skills around applying a flipped classroom approach to learning and teaching. Through engaging videos, collaborative activities and more, the course takes you through the essentials of blended and online learning and teaching, which will be critical to the success of your flipped classroom approach.

Throughout the units you work towards producing a Learning Innovation Plan, in which you design a teaching and learning innovation that harnesses a flipped approach. Get feedback from our course tutors to help with your learning design and support from our Case Study video series in which a colleague works through his flipped classroom innovation with the support of the BOLT team.

By the end of BOLT: A Flipped Classroom Approach you'll be able to:

  • describe a flipped classroom approach to learning and teaching
  • critically evaluate a flipped approach and appropriate techniques and tools
  • apply a flipped approach, techniques and tools to your own teaching and learning context.

If you work at PolyU, please note that BOLT: A Flipped Classroom Approach is an alternative to the blended BOLT Course which runs at the University in Semester 1 each year. It can also be taken as a prerequisite for BOLT Innovations.
