About This Course

To provide the basic tools of mathematics and fundamental concepts to enable the students to formulate civil engineering problems in analytical and statistical terms, and to apply these tools for their feasible solution

Ir Chung Lim KWAN

Ir CL Kwan currently assumes responsibilities as a programme leader of BEng(Hons) in Civil Engineering (Senior Year curriculum). He has been teaching diverse structural engineering subjects and has an excellent track record in the development of a new GUR subject curriculum on “Civil Infrastructure and Society”, a new SL subject curriculum on “Serving Disadvantaged Communities Suffering from Urban Decay” and two DSR subject curricula for the 4-year degree programme such as CSE20302 Engineering Analysis and Computation, and CSE39300 Analytical and Quantitative Methods for Civil Engineers. He also developed an assessment rubric for use in major assessment tasks of subject CSE48404 Design Project as stipulated in HKIE accreditation. Prior to his academic career, he has extensive experience in the implementation and supervision of civil infrastructural projects ranging from planning, scheme design, detailed design and contract administration
